Matthew 4
Jesus is led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. He overcame those temptations and in doing so leaves us an example to follow.
Matthew, Mark, and Luke do not record most of the events in the early part of Jesus’ ministry that are found in John chapters 2-4.
After His temptation, Matthew picks up with Jesus in Galilee where He calls Peter, Andrew, James, and John to become fishers of men.
